I lost my language,
Due to patrol with control.
It left me feeling alone,
And out of control.
I remember my roots,
Which brings me back to you.
Reconciliation should be peace,
Not anything be done with a grimace.
It begins with listening to our stories,
Not ignoring the horrors.
Together we can grow,
And let our ideas for peace flow.
The future must feel equal,
For our future children to be peaceful.
